The move was taken by telephone referendum. The decision to continue traffic restrictions across the city of Jerusalem will be made on Saturday night. The purpose of the regulations is to relieve a large part of households and businesses in the country that are having difficulty repaying their debts, as a result of the necessary measures taken as part of the fight against the spread of the virus.
This means that payment of any penalty due from March 10 through April 30 will be deferred until the end of the emergency period. In addition, it was decided to cancel an additional arrears in the case where the date of payment of the fine applies in the period from March 10 to the date of commencement of these regulations.

Anyone who paid an additional arrears for a fine in the period from March 10 until the date of publication of the regulations will be entitled to apply for a refund of arrears; The arrears will be returned to him within a period to be determined by law. In accordance with the postponement of the date of payment of the fines will also be rejected: the date for filing an application to be tried for judicial and administrative offenses and the date for filing an application for cancellation of a fine.
Also, the date of execution of imprisonment orders in lieu of a fine will also be postponed, in order to allow debtors an additional period of time to pay their debts before applying this measure. It should be emphasized that all penalties imposed for violations relating to the special state of emergency due to the Corona virus have been exempted from these regulations - so that their due date will not be rejected - to ensure the implementation of the provisions imposed to maintain public health.
