According to the Employment Service, from March to now, 935,864 were registered in the service, 88.7% of them were abroad and 6.9% were fired. "Since the beginning of April only the rate of dismissal has risen with 87,065 registered, only 79.9% of them in the country and 111% have been fired" , Provided in the Employment Service.

The rate of jobseekers is 25.8% this evening and the total number of active jobseekers in Israel is no less than 1,075,271 people.

"We are watching with great concern about the rise in the laid-off rate vis-à-vis those issued to the USSR, a trend that began more than two weeks ago, and expresses a growing difficulty for businesses in Israel to pledge to repatriate their employees as the crisis unfolds," said Employment Service CEO Rami Graur. "This data must be taken into account in decision-making procedures on the 'exit strategy' from the crisis. We are preparing the Employment Service to run our emergency plan to reduce the unemployment dimension, and we are currently formulating the resources needed to best accomplish the task."
