Who said that kosher food for Passover has a taste of default? Delivery from "Hanoi Cafe" proved the opposite in restaurants

Anyone who said kosher food for Passover has a taste of default probably didn't invest in the search, or at least didn't order a delivery from "Hanoi Cafe"

Anyone who has been following the section for the past month and crazy about us knows how much we like to order deliveries from quality Asian restaurants and luckily, there are quite a few. This time we chose a delivery from a restaurant that particularly intrigued us, Cafe Hanoi, who on ordinary and sane days rejoiced diners in the Rabin Square area with dishes from Vietnamese cuisine with French touches. We went over the kosher Passover menu and chose a number of dishes that seemed especially worthy of us from a very large and varied selection.

The dishes came warm (the ones that should have been) and well packed. For the first time we ordered papaya salad (papaya, banana flower, Thai lobia, Hejiki seaweed and peanuts in chili sauce, garlic, fish horse and lime), which refreshed and opened our appetite and crispy rolls (rice leaves, stuffed with tofu, bean noodles, cabbage Steamed, carrots and purple onions) that were wonderful and we couldn't stop eating.

On to the mains: We were madly enjoying the po-boo soup (traditional Vietnamese consume in long cooking, the scent of anise star, cinnamon, licorice and cardamom, fresh greens, slices of sirloin, bone marrow, rice noodles and coriander). The description of the long course may have confused you, so just say that as lovers of anise we were pleasantly surprised and relished this special dish, some of which may be difficult to connect to its flavors.

We continued with a fish and beef dish: came the son of salmon (classic Vietnamese salad, hot and cold combination of protein, fresh vegetable leaves, rice noodles and spicy sauce, peanuts, green onions, coriander and mint). The combination of flavors was interesting and the salmon was delicious and found abundantly in the salad. The salad can also be ordered with an addition other than the salmon. Another dish was beef noodles (handmade rice and tapioca noodles, Cambodian caramel peppers, chow-chow, mint, ginger and green onions) - the noodle was handmade, the flavors were balanced, unlike dishes Many noodles with the sweet-and-sour taste and the dish was simply excellent.

And how to do it without dessert: chocolate creme and hazelnuts (chocolate and pearl brola, sweet-salty chocolate crumble, spicy Indian milk). The time it took you to read the description of the dish took longer than it took us to finish it. The price range is very wide, depending on the dish and its size (average first price around 40 NIS, mains range from 58-139 NIS per serving) and you can definitely enjoy an even and satisfying meal without tearing your pocket.

Let's face it, it turns out that you can eat kosher things for Passover without having the odd taste of coconut or matza flour, Hanoi coffee is just that. We will come back and visit when it is allowed to huddle, in the meantime, you will have to settle for the very high quality article and pictures we took.
