US President Donald Trump announced Thursday (Thursday) a new plan to open the US economy in three stages.

In the daily briefing for the nation, Trump said "the effort to curb the Corona is common to everyone: Democrats, Republicans, conservatives and liberals." He said America is coping well with the crisis, and the amount of contagion in most countries has dropped significantly this week. In addition, thousands of respirators have been manufactured in a national project, and now approximately 120,000 corona tests are performed per day. Trump said: "We must return to our economic resilience soon, so that if there is a recurring outbreak in the fall, as some experts expect, we can prepare for and deal with it from a place of power."

Trump has built a new set of guidelines for the reopening of the economy, backed by medical experts by the Corona virus task force. The three-step program will offer recommendations on when to resume bars and restaurants, as well as sports events and other large public gatherings - for countries where the infection rate is low.

In the first phase, restaurants and movie theaters will be opened, while maintaining strict social exclusion rules. Schools will be able to open their doors during the second phase. In the third stage, bars will also be opened, a gathering of up to 50 people will be allowed, the ban on non-essential travel will be lifted and seniors will be able to leave their home.

However, even before the speech, governors of New York and six other states extended their stay-at-home guidelines until May 15. A total of 42 states have instructed residents to stay home except for a necessary exit, such as grocery shopping or physician visits, while shutting down non-essential schools, universities and businesses.

Governors have allegedly successfully substantiated this by curbing the spread of the virus, which killed more than 32,600 Americans in a matter of weeks, due to their social remoteness guidelines. At least 650,000 people in the United States have tested positive for the Corona virus. 

An unprecedented closure has strangled the US economy, leaving 22 million unemployed Americans. The concern is that America may be in its deepest recession since the economic downturn in the 1930s.
