Deconfinement: Florida reopens its beaches, Americans flock to the sand

The Americans immediately rushed to the sand, especially in Jacksonville. According to a CNN reporter on site, residents of the city lined the streets in preparation for the reopening of the beaches. “It was like they had been locked up for years. But in reality, it had barely been a month, ”says Randi Kaye.

In Florida, more than 25,000 cases of coronavirus have been officially counted, for a total of 740 deaths, according to figures from John Hopkins University. But the State has especially recorded, between Thursday and Friday, an increase of 1413 identified cases, a record since the beginning of the epidemic of Covid-19.
