The sports world in New York mourns the well-known photographer Anthony Causi. He died of the coronavirus episodes . Just three weeks ago he posted a photo of the clinic and wrote: “I never thought I would get something like this. I thought I was indestructible ”.

Now the New York Post reported that Causi lost the fight against the virus. Editor in chief Stephen Lynch praised his work: “Anthony Causi was our colleague, our friend and a brilliant journalist. He was simply one of the best sports photographers in New York City and captured all the important moments of the past 25 years. ” 

Major League Baseball also thought of Causi in a statement. He got the best out of the players. The manager of the New York Mets baseball team called him a "charismatic photographer" who offered the fans breathtaking pictures. Baseball player Todd Frazier of the Texas Rangers mourned: “What a great man. I'm sorry to hear that."

Another corona tragedy from the USA caused dismay worldwide. In Michigan, a woman initially lost her husband (59) - and three days later, her son (20) *. 

Meanwhile, US researchers have made a forecast that there could be over 60,000 corona deaths in the US by summer *.
