France recorded 516 additional deaths from the emerging coronavirus, taking the death toll to 21,856 cases, amid a 15-day decline in the number of patients receiving intensive care treatment.

The Director General of Health of France, Jerome Salomon, said in a statement that the rate of high number of deaths due to the virus today reached 2.4 percent, which represents a slight decrease compared to the previous two days.

In Italy, the health authorities announced the registration of 464 new deaths from the virus, compared to 437 yesterday, bringing the total number of deaths to 25,549, which is the second largest death toll in the world after the United States.

The authorities indicated that the number of registered cases today was 2,646, compared to 3370, yesterday, bringing the total to 189,973 people, which is the third largest outcome in the world after the United States and Spain.

In Turkey, 115 new deaths and 3116 new infections were recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 2,391 cases and 101,790 cases from the start of the virus outbreak in the country.

In Egypt, the health authorities announced the registration of 232 new cases of the virus in addition to 11 deaths, explaining that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the Corona virus is 3891 cases, among which 1004 cases were cured and 287 deaths.

In Jordan, the Ministry of Health announced the increase in the number of Coronavirus infections to 437 cases, after two new cases were registered.
