Television programs during the confinement of the great classics of world cinema. The opportunity to rediscover the landscapes that served as the backdrop for these films, which have become very popular tourist destinations thanks to the 7th art.

The intrigue: the illustrious d'Artagnan (Philippe Noiret) has a daughter, Eloise (Sophie Marceau). But can you be the daughter of one of the most restless musketeers in the kingdom of France without having an explosive personality? Mademoiselle d'Artagnan, in the footsteps of her father, is struggling with the men of the Duke of Crassac (Claude Rich) a dangerous slave trafficker ...

The decor that we retain:the Dordogne department has a number of castles and towns which have kept a medieval character. Bertrand Tavernier needed no less to put his cameras there. Old Sarlat illustrates what was Paris where Eloise d'Artagnan came to find her father after escaping from the convent in which he was raised. If the cuisine of the Château de Beynac is shown in the film, we will especially remember the fortress of Biron whose haughty silhouette planted on a summit impresses. It was there that the most spectacular scenes of the film were filmed and in particular on the impressive rampart, a famous duel with the sword led with a master's hand by Eloise. It is on this same rampart - it is said that the Lord of Biron, a conscientious ghost, would come every night to walk with his head in his hands ...

In the footsteps of filming? The cinema gave wings to the Château de Biron which, after d'Artagnan, hosted scenes from Visitors 2 and Jacquou le Croquant . Classified major site of Aquitaine in 2011, the fortress which was the seat of one of the four baronies of Périgord, is today one of the most visited castles of the Dordogne department, of which it is the property. Dungeon, double-story chapel, Renaissance dwelling, vaulted kitchen and exterior defensive works… make it a unique collection of French heritage. In free or guided visit, the castle also offers heraldry workshops for children and offers the possibility of a visit disguised in period costume. The gardens registered in the Additional Inventory of Historic Monuments since 1992 are in more than one remarkable way. www.chateau-biron.fr/fr
