Italy recorded 415 new deaths from coronavirus on Saturday, the lowest daily toll since March 17, announced the Civil Protection.

The number of new cases of contamination is the lowest for five days (2,357 against 3,021 Friday), which brings the total number to 195,351.
The country had recorded 420 new deaths Friday. In total, Italy has registered 26,384 deaths from COVID-19 since the first cases appeared in the country on February 21.
The number of people in intensive care stood at 2.102 on Saturday, against 2.173 on Friday.
The Civil Protection agency also said that 1,187 million Italians had been tested to date, nearly 40,000 more than the day before, out of a total population of around 60 million.
