While the “Monsieur déconfinement” of the government, Jean Castex, must reveal to the elected officials the plan for the post-May 11th, the deputies Les Républicains, led by their president Damien Abad, in connection with the party, have developed 50 proposals according to a document published by Le JDD. Eight working groups have met for weeks to work on the various questions raised by the deconfinement: the economy, school, security, transport and travel for the French. Tests, masks in quantity
For the Republicans, it is urgent not to wait to set up " economic recovery " and a " territorialized " deconfinement . Unlike the government which will not give its answer until the end of May, the Republicans are calling for a reopening of cafes, bars and restaurants on May 11 in the departments least affected by the coronavirus, and by June 15 for the others. The Republicans demanding to achieve this, a massive use of tests and masks, the purchase of which should be financed by the state. The masks would be distributed by pharmacies and local authorities.
For the Republicans, the use of the masses should be made mandatory very quickly, especially in transport - metro, train, plane - and in supermarkets. In addition, LR offers massive screening, in particular for healthcare staff and residents and nursing home staff. Anyone tested positive for Covid-19 should be isolated in hospitals requisitioned for the occasion. The Republicans also insist on the need for " massive screening " of the French, notably through the army health service, in conjunction with the laboratories. And on the importance of a health programming law for the next 5 years, to vote by the end of 2020 with in particular " the review of salary scales " for nursing staff and a " massive investment plan in hospitals and health establishments ”.
Support for businesses and households
The Republicans have a clear objective in this counter-project: "to facilitate, accelerate and intensify the economic recovery ". Consequently, LR is in particular in favor of massive support for companies via " outright cancellation of social and fiscal charges ", the postponement of payment of VAT payable for the first two months of confinement and the doubling of the solidarity fund - from 7 to 14 billion - to pay the aid until September 1, the assumption by the State of part of the rents of the affected companies.
In this period of crisis, LR elected officials also ask for the " full tax exemption without ceiling of overtime worked between March and December 2020 " and the recognition " of a state of health catastrophe (on the model of the state of natural disaster ) ”. Finally, to support public procurement, a " major investment plan " should, according to LR, be launched in the area of " transport infrastructure, prison construction, renovation of public buildings and artificial intelligence "
For a compulsory but gradual return to school
If Emmanuel Macron decided to volunteer when the schools reopened, leaving parents the choice whether or not to put their children, the Republicans insist on the compulsory nature of the courses. But aware of the concern of parents and teachers and the number of questions pending before classes resume, the Republicans are proposing a " progressive and safe " reopening of schools - high schools, colleges then schools - " by department " in consultation with regional councils. Only the canteens would remain closed, but meal trays would be distributed.

LR asked to equip the security forces, firefighters, the military to face the epidemic - hydroalcoholic gel and masks - and to pay a bonus to the police. Above all LR asked to stop " the early releases of detainees " and "to relaunch justice by restarting the civil and criminal courts ".
The Republicans also call for strict control of national and European borders during the health crisis, including temperature measurements at airports and quarantine in the event of people tested positive.
