Clashes took place Saturday in central Berlin, Germany, police in riot gear to dozens of people protesting the containment put in place to fight against the spread of the coronavirus.

The demonstrators gathered at the cry of " I want my life before ", holding up signs that read: " Protect our constitutional rights " or " Freedom is not everything but without freedom, everything does not is nothing . " Some of them held white roses, in reference to the movement of the White Rose, a resistance group to the Nazi regime.
Police announced on Twitter that they had arrested over 100 people.
Encouraged by the drop in the number of COVID-19 contaminations, the federal government authorized the reopening of small businesses but maintained the social distancing rules until May 3.

The number of cases of contamination increased from 2,055 to reach 152,438, including 5,500 fatal cases in total, announced Saturday the Robert Koch Institute, responsible for monitoring the epidemic.
