A resident who was returned to the Maanan Nursing Home after two negative examinations from one hospital was found to be positive in an examination performed at another hospital
On March 30, the resident of the Be'er Sheva nursing home was transferred to Soroka Hospital after being found positive in Corona. This week, two occupants were tested for corona detection at Wolfson Hospital in Holon - found to be negative. As a result, the tenant was returned to the nursing ward in Be'er Sheva in isolation on Friday evening.

Despite the findings of the examination, the medical director, Dr. Ginsburg, decided that the occupant would be in complete isolation and that the treating staff would also be in full protection.
This evening, following a proactive call from a nurse from Be'er Sheva to Soroka Hospital, it became clear that upon further examination, the occupant was found positive to Corona. Contrary to the results, two tests were taken from the occupant of Wolfson Hospital.
Following the case, Maanan decided to contact the Ministry of Health and demand that they no longer allow the release of patients and return them to nursing homes until after they have performed a home check to prevent such cases from recurring in the future. Occasions that could endanger the occupants of all nursing homes and treatment staff in Israel.
The Maternity Home also requires clear written instructions from now on to deal with cases where tenants return from hospitals after their tests have been found to be correct, "they added.
