Kreuth - At the end of the recent Kreuther council meeting, which was held in the gymnasium of the primary school due to Corona, Mayor Josef Bierschneider (CSU) not only summarized the current situation in Kreuth. Together with the committee, he ventured a look into the future.

Corona: Kreuth expects significant losses

"The crisis hits us particularly hard as a tourism community, especially since trade and the craft also depend on tourism," clarified Bierschneider. He therefore expected not only falls in the visitor's tax and tourism tax, but also in the business tax. Deferral applications had already been made. In addition, prepaid trade tax overpayments would have to be reimbursed. Because the Kreuther Budget 2020 is sewn on edge anyway, Bierschneider assured that "we will carefully check every expenditure". For example, the postponement of vacancies in the outdoor pool area has been postponed, as has the start of the mountain bus. The employees in the community facilities had reduced their remaining vacation and overtime. Bierschneider asked the citizens to support the local economy and buy as much as possible locally. Martin Walch (SPD) suggested in view of the expected slumps to open an additional budget "as soon as new estimates and figures" are available.

Bierschneider reported that Tegernseer Tal Tourismus GmbH (TTT) is preparing to attract domestic German holidaymakers as soon as the accommodation facilities can open again. The electoral group Ilse Aigner had been signaled that it was important to release the holiday apartments (for self-catering) first. She wanted to discuss this proposal in one of the next cabinet meetings of the Bavarian government.

Markus Wrba (FWG), who reported that the situation for some Kreuther restaurateurs and hoteliers is serious to dramatic, called for their own hygiene plan and distance requirements for hotels in the Tegernsee valley to be developed. Bierschneider decided that the Tourism Task Force was already there with the TTT. Sebastian Marschall (FWG), however, warned that everyone should stick to it: "Because where there are many infected people, nobody wants to go on vacation."
