The baby boy was left alone in the cradle. She tried to open the door again to save her child, but because the door handle was burnt to the point of being burnt, she could not open the door and could only call for help by the window. The scene of the fire was a unit on the 1st floor, Block 14, Cuishan Park, Hongqiao Bridge. There were five families in total, including a 37-year-old male head, a 34-year-old female head, a 5-year-old eldest daughter, a 3-year-old second son, and a 1-year-old boy who did not yet know how to walk child. At the time of the incident, the male head of the household was downstairs, leaving only his wife and three children at home. At 7 pm last night (25th), the refrigerator in the living room suddenly caught fire. The female head of the bedroom, who opened the door at the time, found the fire was fierce and hurried back to the room to take shelter. The young man was still in the cradle beside the refrigerator, trying to open the door and rush into the sea of fire to save people, but because the door handle was too hot to be successful, he could only stay in the room and call out for help outside the window.
Later, a large number of neighbourhoods climbed on the ladder to save people. Some people recalled the neighbourhood afterwards. They heard the baby crying, but because of the violent fire, he could not save him, and he could only break the window to rescue the girl in the trapped bedroom. To date, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., investigators from various departments went to the fire department to investigate, including government laboratories, forensics divisions, electrical and mechanical services department and fire department. According to on-site news, after further investigation, the fire alarm was not caused by a short circuit in the refrigerator. The personnel found a one-time battery wreckage in the ashes near the refrigerator. It is not excluded that the battery belongs to the baby's music box.
