Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Verchinin discussed in a telephone conversation with the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Syria, Biderson studied the situation in Syria and the prospects for the progress of the political process.
"The Russian side affirmed the necessity of increasing humanitarian assistance to all Syrians in need without discrimination, politicization and preconditions in the pandemic conditions of the Corona virus," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today.
"During the call, joint satisfaction was expressed in connection with the observance of the regime of stopping hostilities in the de-escalation zone in Idlib as a result of implementing the additional protocol signed between Russia and Turkey on the fifth of last March," the Russian Foreign Ministry added in its statement.
