The school has started again for all graduating students. The conclusion of the pupils, teachers and headmasters on the first day of school is consistently positive.

  • As of today (April 27), final classes are being taught in schools again.
  • Students, teachers and school principals take stock of the first day of school after the Corona break.
  • The conclusion is consistently positive.

District - Four students stand in front of the entrance - all at least one and a half meters apart. They look expectantly at the teacher who is distributing face masks in front of the door. Next to it is Anja Kreter, the headmistress of the Hebertshausen middle school - she has an overview of the whole situation. Yesterday, after six long weeks, the time had come again: the first students in the final class at the middle school were allowed to attend classes.

According to Anja Kreter, the first day of school went very well. "All students took the appropriate protective measures very seriously," she says. Spacing was not a problem. "We benefit most from the size of the school," says the headmistress. So it was possible that all 22 students could take a break with the appropriate distance.

First day of school after the Corona break: Small number of classes makes learning more pleasant

The classes are divided into two groups. Schoolgirl Sophie Gencer finds it very pleasant. "Learning at home was complicated, and now you just have a regular process again," she says.

Christian Weindl is her class teacher and was really looking forward to school. “Home classes worked very well with the class. Nevertheless, I am glad that the classroom continues again, ”says Weindl.

Structures are back

Katalin Lutzenberger, principal of the Odelzhausen secondary school, can only agree. "The structures were simply missing and it is nice to be able to teach again," she says. In the lesson itself, the junior high school students do not have to wear masks, although the school management had considered this in the preparation phase.

"Only positive things" can report Johannes Sommerer, the headmaster of the Dachau vocational school. "I have a good feeling because we have prepared everything in detail," he says.

"Generally a normal school day"

One of his students is the carpenter apprentice Anton Christoph. He thinks that yesterday's school day was not particularly different from a normal one. "Of course it's different than usual, but overall it's a normal day at school," he says.

He and his classmates are not allowed to leave the room during school - unless it goes to the toilet. "Most of those who suffer from it are smokers," says Christoph.

Students adhere to the distance rules

Tanja Huber, headmistress of the Dachau secondary school, was particularly looking forward to the first day of school. She thinks "it went very well." In the first lesson, the teachers first discussed how the next few weeks could go. The students adhered to the relevant regulations. "We had no problem with the distance requirement," she says.

Peter Mareis, Rector of the Josef Effner High School, has noticed the joy and relief of all teachers and students that it is starting again. "Because we just like doing what we do," he says.

School day felt like the first school day after the summer vacation

For teacher Thomas Riedl, who teaches at FOS Karlsfeld, the school day felt like the first school day after the summer vacation. "Everything is new and you don't know what to expect," he says. "But that then normalized."

Among other things, he teaches the student Theresa Kaufmann. She is in 13th grade and thinks it is good to be able to prepare for the Abitur at school. Although she used the time at home intensively to prepare for her Abitur, "it is nice to be back in class".

The time of school opening was okay

Headmistress Carola Zankl therefore thinks the timing of the school openings is okay. "Lessons are more tangible when the teacher is at the front," she says. "And the school is giving some students structure again."
