Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was diagnosed with Corona, the state-run television said in an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin this evening.
Mishustin, who replaced Prime Minister Medvedev, was examined during his post after being exposed to infected civilians. This is the second most important leader in the world who is probably diagnosed with Corona.
"Following a positive corona test, I had to go into isolation every two weeks to protect my virus from the virus, according to the guidelines of the Russian Federation's national health headquarters," Prime Minister Putin said.
"What happened to you could happen to anyone," Putin told the PM, assuring him that no important decision would be made without consulting him during his recovery and isolation process. The media outlets in the country did not specify whether or not the prime minister is suffering from the disease symptoms.
According to official data, the number of people infected with the Corona virus in Russia is 106,498 people diagnosed with the virus. 1,073 people died as a result of the disease, over a hundred of them in the last twenty-four hours.
But despite official figures rising, various organizations claim the proportion of those affected by the virus in the country is far greater than the Kremlin is willing to admit. These claims are backed up by uncovered embarrassments showing many deaths written under the title "unknown pneumonia". Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed the spread of the virus two weeks ago, saying: "The disease under our control and with God's help the situation will stay that way."
