South Korea announced Thursday (April 30th) that it has not registered any new cases of transmission of the new coronavirus for the first time since the disease first appeared in the country more than 70 days ago.

The country has recorded 10,765 cases since the first case of infection was reported on February 18 and, for several weeks, it was the second country most affected by this pandemic which left a total of 247 dead on its territory.
