Beirut-Sana
An officer and a member of the Lebanese security forces were shot and wounded in the Dahr al-Baydar area, east of the capital, Beirut.
According to the Lebanese National Media Agency, an officer and a member of the Internal Security Forces were wounded as a result of gunfire by gunmen towards them at the Dahr al-Baydar checkpoint before they fled.
The agency indicated that it immediately began the search for militants.
