On the occasion of the International Labor Day, the President of the General Federation of Trade Unions Jamal Al-Qadri visited a number of work and production sites in the governorates of Homs, Tartous and Lattakia, noting the national role played by the working class, especially in light of the terrorist war that has been waging against Syria for more than nine years.
During his visit to the laboratories of the Homs Sugar Company and Al-Basil Hospital in the Karam al-Louz neighborhood and for meeting and honoring the workers, Al-Qadri affirmed that Syria is steadfast despite the blockade, terrorism and the global pandemic Corona praising the efforts of the working class that raise the edifices of architecture in all work and production sites and continues to give and offer sacrifices and martyrs in work sites for the sake of the pride of the nation And its glory.
In turn, the head of the Homs Governorate Workers Union, Hafez Khansar, pointed out that the workers were and are still a soldier in the work, production and recruiting of the Syrian Arab Army in the face of terrorism and today in dealing with the Corona virus, pointing out that the Homs Labor Union includes 15 unions and about 67 thousand workers.
A number of workers confirmed their willingness to continue working in all circumstances to rebuild the country and overcome all difficulties, as the two workers at the alcohol factory in the General Sugar Company Muhammad Nizar Al-Wafaa and Abdul-Malik Al-Saneeb showed that Syria always deserves the best and continues to work and perfect it is a national duty of all workers.

In Tartous, Al-Qadri confirmed during his visit to a number of economic and productive establishments in the governorate that included the general company of Tartous Port, the cement factory, the thermal plant and the Banias Refinery Company, that Syrian workers are participating in the world’s workers on this day, which has become a symbol of sacrifice and struggle for the rights and dignity of workers, expressing hope to preserve Workers' rights on all fronts of work.
The head of the Tartous Workers Union, Ahmed Khalil, considered this day an occasion for giving and construction, saluting the Syrian workers who remained steadfast and at the head of their work despite the conditions of war and the siege.
A number of workers confirmed their insistence on continuing work despite all the challenges, pointing out that the war against Syria increased their strength and determination to adhere to the construction process, calling for an increase in the ceiling of incentives, compensation and rewards and the installation of temporary workers.
In Lattakia, Al-Qadri honored a number of workers in the governorate during a tour that included the General Company of Lattakia Port, the Martyr Hamza Nawfal National Hospital and the automatic bakery in Halloum Square, where he affirmed that Syrian workers embodied their steadfastness and resolve with the highest meanings of heroism and sacrifice and continued to work and give to secure the supplies of their people despite the threats The aggressive terrorist war is directed towards saluting and appreciating the workers in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan and occupied Palestine and their struggle for the sake of their homelands.
A number of workers affirmed that Syria will remain a stronghold of Abyei steadfast with its workers, army and leadership, and their willingness to exert all energies to overcome the current stage and support the national economy in light of the conditions of the war on terrorism and to address the Corona epidemic.
