From the zero hour of this Monday, May 4, it will also be mandatory to wear face masks to circulate or stay in public space . The goal is to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Until now, it only had to be used to travel on public transport or within public service units or commercial premises. But now you will have to put it on as soon as you leave home and even if you are just walking without making contact with other people. The fines for not doing so range from $ 10,700 to $ 79,180.

The announcement was made this Friday by the Buenos Aires government, from where they explained that the use of the mask is reinforced to reduce the spread of Covid-19 . The measure is taken in light of the growth in the number of cases and the increase in the movement of people on the street.

The main reason for the decision, they detailed, is that two out of three people have no symptoms or have mild symptoms. And the masked mask or homemade chinstrap reduces the possibility of asymptomatic infections.

Meanwhile, the commercialization in the City of the N95 sanitary masks to anyone who does not prove that they are a professional or personal health is still prohibited . It is a model authorized by the National Administration of Medicines, Foods and Medical Technology for medical use and, therefore, it seeks not to supply the market.
