Forstern - The digitization of the school in Forstern was a central topic in the school association assembly, which was held for the first time in the large gym because of Corona. Cost: around 200,000 euros.

Headmistress Annett Taubert urged that the planned digital equipment be completed in a timely manner and asked for “that the gas be given gas”. Otherwise you could not work according to the curriculum. The equipment, including whiteboards, is important not only for middle school, but also for primary school.

Secondary schools would expect media literacy from the students. For two years, the school had been digitized and a concept had been drawn up and presented. With a view to an impending delay, the headmistress said: "I don't know what to say to my colleagues and not to parents either." The school has already received tablet cases.

The panel agreed that school digitization was particularly important in Corona times. The chair of the school association, Forsterns Mayor Georg Els (AWG), who has been retired since yesterday, referred to the time constraints of some processes and emphasized that the questions of digitization had always been discussed with the school management. But the funds were only released last summer. An engineering office is turned on. The contract will be launched in early summer, and installation and commissioning are expected to take place in the autumn after the summer break, continued Els.

Mayor Cornelia Vogelfänger (CSU) informed the association councils that digitization had already taken place at their school. No engineering office was called in, but instead the support from the media adviser responsible for the school office, Florian Häusler, was sought. Vogelcatcher saw the problem that it was now very difficult to get the equipment because of the Corona crisis, which Els confirmed.

The Mayor of Hohenlinden, Ludwig Maurer (ÜWH), emphasized that the parents' wish was "very big", "that we can move forward". He advocated a concrete schedule and speedy implementation.

The administration informed that technical help was needed on this topic in order to make digitization in Forstern suitable. Häusler should be switched on.
