The United Kingdom recorded an additional 315 deaths from the new coronavirus on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 28,446 in the country, the second most affected in Europe, announced Minister of State Michael Gove.

This development marks a decline compared to the previous day (+621 dead), but the official figures are very volatile and often mark a decline during the weekend, due to delays in registrations, followed by an upsurge.
