2,899 cruise ship employees tested for coronavirus - until results come in quarantine
The cruise ship with 2,899 crew members on board is in quarantine in the German port of Cuxhaven after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19 , the NDR reported. Some of the crew members had been brought to "Mein Schiff 3" by other cruise ships before they were to be returned to their home countries.
Appropriate tests were carried out after 15 crew members began to experience mild, flu-like symptoms . Further tests were carried out, the 15 crew members were isolated in their cabins. The personnel who had left "Mein Schiff 3" before April 28, 2020 were informed and asked to self-quarantine at home.

Quarantine on cruise ship: Results expected in the evening of 4.5.2020
Now all crew members have been tested. Until the results are available, everyone should remain on board and in quarantine . The results are expected to be available on the evening of May 4th, 2020.
The entire crew had been on the cruise ship for over four weeks. Guests had already left on March 23, 2020.
Due to closed ports and travel bans, the crew members were unable to return home and are still at the port of Cuxhaven.
