"The resources of the Regional Council cannot be used as an adjustment variable for your ministry." The president of Hauts-de-France, Xavier Bertrand, is angry. He sent, this May 5, a letter to the Minister of Justice, Nicole Belloubet, to ask him for accounts on what has become of the “donation of 50,000 masks” made by his region “so that the agents of the interregional direction prison services of Lille can be protected within the framework of their missions ” .
"The reception of the masks took place on Friday, April 22," explains the boss of Hauts-de-France. Since then, 11,000 of the 50,000 masks have been given to agents in the region, replacing a defective batch that had been delivered. The rest, wrote this elected official to the minister, "has been placed in reserve on the instruction of your cabinet in order to feed a national fund."

However, his region is not an isolated case. The Auvergne-Rhônes-Alpes, chaired by Laurent Wauquiez, experienced the same kind of inconvenience in its deliveries
