The Italian Civil Protection Agency recorded a sharp increase in the number of deaths caused by the Corona virus "Covid 19" by 369 cases today compared to 236 yesterday, in addition to the rise in the daily toll of new infections by 1444 cases compared to 1075 yesterday.
The agency said that the total number of deaths since the emergence of the disease on February 21 reached 29,684, which is the third highest figure recorded in the world after the United States and Britain, where the total number of confirmed cases reached 214,457.
The agency indicated that the number of people registered as carrying the disease currently fell sharply to 91,528 from 98,467 yesterday, as the number of people in intensive care today reached 1333 compared to 1427 yesterday.
Among those who were basically infected, the number of people recovering today reached 93,245 people, compared to 85,231 yesterday.
