Lin Yangmeng ’s team expressed support for the establishment of an independent investigation committee in the political platform, and strives for one person and one vote for the president. Lin Yangkun had joined the list of directors of the University of Hong Kong Law School's principal lecturer Zhang Daming the previous year, but was defeated in the second place. He served as the chairman of the Academia Sinica in the June 4th incident of 1989.

Her teammate Peng Haoxin is a member of the Citizens Party. She believes that the two teams have similar concepts of the rule of law, emphasizing that the rule of law is not only a preconception, but the system on which lawyers rely on to survive. Cai Weide: The Law Society is primarily politically neutral

Cai Weide, who had assisted the people arrested in the anti-amendment incident, said that in conjunction with Chen Jiahao and Huang Yao, all three called "no parties" and had participated in the work of the Law Society. Cai Weide said that the Law Society is not a political group, and it is primarily politically neutral. However, if the social issues involve the law, the Law Society can provide legal opinions.

Regarding the establishment of an independent investigation committee, she believes that since the public questioned the injustice of law enforcement, "the establishment of an independent investigation committee is a good way to find out the truth, and we have no objection in this regard." However, the political platform focuses on ensuring the professional services of lawyers and improving member welfare.

The Law Society Council elects the five most senior directors each year, including Xiong Yunxin, Ma Huarun, Huang Wujiehua, Zhuang Weilun and Luo Ruide, but the latter two will compete for re-election. It is reported that Simon McConnel, a partner of Qili Law Firm, Gong Haixin, the Standing Committee of the External Affairs of the Law Society, and Yan Kunying, a consultant lawyer of Xiao Zhenbang Law Firm, are all interested in running for election.
