LE FIGARO. - You did not support the Senate amendment which, within the framework of the law extending the state of emergency, limits the responsibility of decision-makers. This decision raises fears of a self-amnesty law for elected officials. What do you say?
Nicole BELLOUBET. - There is no question of making a self-amnesty law, this is unthinkable for the majority as the government. But it is the Senate amendment that poses this question. Currently, the questioning of the responsibility of public and private decision-makers for unintentional crimes already presupposes strict conditions to trigger it: one must have committed a deliberate or characterized fault, which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by a judge.
