Berlin - According to ARD, a sound assistant from the capital's studio was kicked by a participant in a non-approved demonstration against the corona restrictions in Berlin.

The demonstrator "spontaneously detached itself from the crowd", as the ARD capital studio announced on Wednesday evening. The Berlin police reacted immediately and arrested the attacker. "Cameraman and sound assistants are doing well," says the ARD.

The Berlin police had previously announced that a demonstrator had attacked an ARD camera team and was subsequently arrested. The head of the ARD capital's studio, Tina Hasse 1, spoke up on Wednesday evening via Twitter and expressed her disgust at attacks of this type: “Fortunately, our team is doing well, but such attacks against the press are disgusting! Corona virus in Germany: demonstration in Berlin

According to a police spokeswoman, 350 to 400 people had gathered in front of the Reichstag building. They apparently followed a call on social media. Because of the corona pandemic, demos with up to 50 participants are currently allowed in Berlin.

A team from the ZDF satellite broadcast “heute-show” had already been attacked in Berlin on May 1st. It turned at a demonstration against the Corona rules on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. After that, the camera team was attacked by a group of hooded offenders. According to the ZDF, six people were injured and had to be taken to the hospital.
