U.S. President Donald Trump today compared the U.S. Corona crisis to historic disasters that have occurred in the country. According to him, the spread of the virus is "more serious than the Pearl Harbor attack, it's worse than the Twin Towers attack and it shouldn't have happened."

During the impromptu press conference held in the Oval Room, Trump made it clear that the White House Corona Task Force will continue its work "indefinitely" after announcing its intention to lay off the staff led by his deputy, Mike Pence. However, the US president noted that he plans to announce new members of the team next week in light of his desire to focus back on routine and resume economic activity statewide.

Trump told reporters that he thought the task force could be dispersed at this point, but "until yesterday when I started talking about its dissemination I didn't know how popular they were. The power was widely appreciated by the public." Among the members of the Task Force are Dr. Deborah Birks, and Dr. Anthony Pauchi. Since the outbreak of the crisis, they have received great public acclaim and are considered very credible.

In a ABC interview, Trump said Tuesday that the return to routine could cause the deaths of American citizens "because they will not be locked in their homes. But at the same time, we intend to continue the social remoteness, wash our hands and do many things we learned recently."
