Deconfinement: here are the metro stations that will not reopen on May 11

2020-05-08T16:39:03.689Z

In order to avoid the influx of users, 60 RATP stations will remain closed during this first phase of deconfinement.

Consulting a metro map to get around is a habit that has been lost for almost eight weeks. Three days before the deconfinement, however, Ile-de-France residents who must resume transport to reach their workplace will have to plunge back into the routes proposed by the RATP.

Because if all the lines will be open, they will not run at 100% and will limit their stops. In a plan unveiled this Friday, the authority lists the metro stations that will not reopen on Monday (60 in all), in order to avoid the influx of population in the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic. This should remind users affected by the December strike…

It will take 3 metros out of 4, with priority given to the busiest lines (85% of traffic planned on the 13 for example). Automatic lines 1 and 14 will offer 100% service.

On the RER side, we can expect 3 out of 4 trains on lines A and B, with interconnection guaranteed at Gare du Nord station. Note that metros and RER will only run from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Between 80 and 100% of the tram lines will operate, as well as 3 out of 4 buses.

The 60 stations closed, line by line

The RATP specifies that all of the RER stations, subway stations as well as those that host connections with Paris stations remain open. Please note that the République station will be closed.

The RATP also recalls that it will be necessary, as of Monday, to bring a certificate during a trip during peak hours, that is to say between 6:30 am and 9:30 am and 4 pm and 7 pm.

In all, 3,400 agents will be deployed, with reinforcements, on the network, to facilitate flows. Markings on the ground and on the seats have also been put in place to allow the distance between the passengers. The number of cleaning agents has been increased by 30% and the number of daily cleaning operations has doubled.
