The Buenosairean government announced this Saturday that some commercial items, such as household appliances, bookstores and toy stores, will gradually open from next Tuesday from 11 am to 9 pm, Monday through Friday.

You can enter the premises according to the termination of the DNI in an even or odd number, and the entry of one person will be allowed every 15 square meters .

Next Tuesday, April 12, the bookstores, flower shops, toy stores, perfume shops, decoration businesses, electrical materials, electrical appliances, musical instruments and bicycle shops will be enabled.

Meanwhile, on Thursday the 14th it will be the turn of the jewelers, watches, jewelery, furniture stores, car and motorcycle dealers, and the rest of retail stores.

However, several business activities were left out of the opening and will continue to wait to get back to work. As Clarín could know , the differentiation was decided based on a criterion focused on mitigating the pandemic in the towns.

The Buenos Aires authorities believe that the easing of all items would have had a greater impact on the movement of workers in these vulnerable areas, where there was a greater growth in cases.

During the last weeks, the business chambers and some unions presented various proposals to return to the activity following strict sanitary protocols to comply with the distancing.

The shopping malls, for example, had proposed to reduce to 50% the number of employees who can attend per store and limit the number of people who can enter the shopping center, at the rate of 1 person every 16 square meters. However, they must continue to wait.

Hairdressing is one of the items hardest hit by quarantine. According to the General Confederation of Hairdressers, there are some 80,000 beauty salons in Argentina that employ at least 300,000 people and represent a turnover of more than 1% of the national GDP.
