Son Danny Penniman reports on the death of singer Little Richard

The American music magazine “Rolling Stone” reports, referring to Richard's son Danny Penniman.

Little Richard was born on December 5, 1932 in Macon, Georgia under the name Richard Wayne Penniman. Little Richard celebrated his breakthrough with the song "Tutti Frutti" in 1956. Further hits followed: "Long Tall Sally", "Rip It Up", in 1957 then "Lucille" and in 1958 "Good Golly Miss Molly".

His performance was unique and spectacular from the start: he was known for his sexual undertone, yet there was an influence of the gospel on his numbers. "Rolling Stone" writes about the deceased that his simple but pounding piano playing was also characteristic.
