Eurasburg / Egling: accidents with motorcyclists - four injuries

The police reported a total of two traffic accidents with motorcyclists at the weekend. Four people were injured, some of them seriously. 

Eurasburg / Egling - The weekend attracted many motorcyclists to the streets. With consequences: The police had two serious traffic accidents with motorcycles.

Two motorbike accidents at the weekend

The first accident occurred on Friday at Eurasburg. At around 11.15 a.m., a 43-year-old from Munich drove his motorcycle south along State Road 2370. His son was a passenger. At the same time, an oncoming car and trailer wanted to turn left into the Winkl district. According to initial investigations, the 67-year-old Eurasburger overlooked the motorcyclist.

There was a collision. The man from Munich and his son were hurled far through the air. The motorcycle rider suffered very serious but not life-threatening injuries. His passenger escaped with severe bruises and terror. 

Both were brought to the Murnau accident clinic. According to the police, the motorcycle has only scrap value and had to be recovered by the towing service. The officials estimate the total damage to the trailer and motorcycle to be around 15,000 euros. The Eurasburger is now awaiting notification of negligent bodily harm.

The second serious traffic accident occurred on Saturday 2071 near Egling. Around 13.00 p.m. three motorcyclists were heading towards Bad Tölz. At about the level of the peat works, they opened up to an agricultural team. The first driver in the group recognized that the 38-year-old Eglinger was already blinking to turn into a forest path and stayed behind him.

Egling: Motorcyclists collide

The following two motorcyclists recognized this too late and had to brake hard. A 58-year-old Munich bumped into the Harley of a 53-year-old Munich with his BMW. Both drivers fell and were injured. The 58-year-old had to be taken to a hospital. The state road was closed for an hour for the duration of the rescue work. The officials estimate the damage at around 15,000 euros. 

A tragic accident recently occurred in Dietramszell: a 17-year-old came off the road in a curve and collided with a tree. He died at the scene of the accident.
