Public and private mass transportation returned to work this morning in the governorates for transportation between cities and rural areas, while adhering to the health controls necessary to tackle the Corona virus, after a break of nearly two months, while maintaining the travel ban between the provinces.

The government team concerned with the procedures to tackle the Corona virus decided last Wednesday to restart all mass transportation modes in the public and private sectors, buses of tourist transport companies and unified transport buses in each governorate for transportation between cities and rural areas for a period of three months, starting from the tenth of this month, to reduce congestion and achieve spatial spacing In compliance with health safety requirements.

The Director of the Internal Transport Company in Homs, Ali Al-Hussein, stated in a statement to correspondence with SANA that the buses were sterilized before they were launched to work and provide individual protection methods for drivers from masks, gloves and sterilizers in addition to the request of drivers to prevent congestion inside the bus and to limit the number of passengers according to the number of seats.

He explained that the 60 buses will operate from six thirty in the morning until three in the afternoon on the same lines that were served previously.

In As-Suwayda, the director of the Unified Start Center in Suwayda Luay Radwan indicated that the start centers in As-Suwayda and Shahba and Shakhlab were requested to start drivers' work through about 1500 cars that combined the micro bus and the service on 77 lines in the various regions of the province.

Radwan stated that a work schedule and shifts have been set up for the mechanisms operating on the lines, instructing their owners to commit to sterilizing and cleaning them on an ongoing basis, in addition to communicating with the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection and the fuel company branch to redistribute their allocations of diesel.

In Lattakia, Ahmad Najjar, head of the Land Transport and Rail Workers Syndicate, affirmed the follow-up of hygiene procedures and sterilization operations for the buses and buses since the early morning hours after cleaning and sterilizing the garages yesterday evening and distributing the medical points at the entrances.

In Deir Al-Zour, a member of the Executive Office of Deir Al-Zour Governorate, Mudhi Al-Muhaimid, stated that based on the decision of the government team, mass transportation means began working in Deir Al-Zour Governorate, whether operating on the lines linking the city with rural areas or working on internal transport lines, pointing out that the Traffic Committee in the province has taken All precautionary measures to prevent corona virus from sterilizing buses and starting points, obligating drivers to wear masks and paws, maintaining the cleanliness of the mechanism, and sterilizing it continuously, and maintaining the spacing between passengers.

In Daraa, the Secretary-General of the Daraa Governorate, Muhammad Khair Abu Zayd, stated to a SANA correspondent that the governorate had formed a committee to follow up on the ground to secure the best health conditions for the transportation of citizens.

In Aleppo, Ahmed Al-Yaseen, the deputy head of the executive office, stated in a statement to a SANA reporter that the necessary precautionary measures were taken regarding sterilizing transportation and emphasizing drivers to wear masks and achieve spatial spacing between passengers and sterilizing the mechanisms, pointing out that a committee has been formed from the governorate, whose task is to work on implementing government decisions taken In the field of transportation.

Engineer Hussein Suleiman, Director of the Internal Transport Company in Aleppo, explained that the internal transport buses returned today to work and serve citizens in the countryside and the city after conducting the necessary sterilization operations.

A number of citizens expressed their satisfaction with the return of internal transport buses to work, which contribute to alleviating the burden of their transportation, stressing their commitment to health conditions during the use of buses.

On the other hand, Aleppo trains returned to work again today after they were stopped in implementation of the governmental precautionary decision related to the Corona virus, as passengers were started to transport to the governorate countryside and back to the Baghdad station within the city.

Engineer Ibrahim Khadra, director of the Aleppo branch of the General Corporation for Railways, said that four daily train trips were carried out to the Jibreen region and back to Aleppo with taking all precautions to tackle the Corona virus.

In Hama, the city council chairman, Adnan Tayyar, mentioned that as part of the preventive measures to tackle the Corona epidemic, drivers were obligated to wear a muzzle and gloves and not to allow more passengers than seats, pointing to the sterilization of buses and internal buses before their departure and upon their return.

In turn, Engineer Abdul Hakim Al-Omar, Director of Internal Transport in Hama, stated that, starting this morning, all 750 internal transport services returned to work to cover 26 lines of internal transport in the city of Hama.
