Economy Minister Eli Cohen has drawn up an outline with experts and activists in the industry, and will discuss with the Ministry of Health the details • He told Israel Today: "The situation is opening soon"

Minister of Economy and Industry MK Eli Cohen contacted the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Itamar Grotto with the demand to open the restaurants, cafes and pubs in accordance with the layout he prepared, in collaboration with experts and activists in the field. "The outline says that the restaurants should be opened by the end of the month and maybe even earlier," Cohen tells Israel Today.

According to him, "We saw last Saturday that thousands have visited the seashore, contrary to the directives. When hundreds violate the directives, they can be fined, but fines cannot be imposed for hundreds of thousands. We see that there are only dozens who are infected in Corona every day, which is a sign that the economy needs to be opened. "There are other things that need to be fixed in the outline that we have proposed, but the outline can be completed in the coming days."

"I am pleased to see the Ministry of Health ready to discuss this and we have a discussion for next Wednesday, which I hope we can further the matter. We have opened the service area and almost all the trade, including the malls and it works well. There is no reason why we should not promote the food business," says Cohen.

According to the proposed outline, businesses in the field will have to appoint "responsible corona" who will take care of enforcing the "purple tea" provisions. At the entrance to those businesses guests will have to answer a few questions and measure heat. More in the outline: Kitchen workers will be required to wear masks. The dishwasher will be done in a 70 degree heat dishwasher.

In manual washing, the dishes are firstly soaked in disinfectant and then rinsed in warm water and soap; Kitchen trash bins should not exceed 75% of their capacity. The distance between the tables will be one meter between a table and a table, or a distance of 40 cm between the back of one chair and the back of a chair behind it. The distance between dining tables in open spaces will be the same as defined in the Business Licensing Law.

Businesses will be required to place signs at the entrance of the business, in a conspicuous place, regarding the number of customers allowed on the premises and a mechanism will be set to limit the number of guests in the business.
