May makes everything new: Eight new municipal councils have been sworn in in Ingenried. And soon there will be a new face in the secretariat too.

Ingenried - "There has never been such an extreme change in Ingenried," said the new mayor, Georg Saur, at his first meeting as head. The circle of tables in the multi-purpose hall had grown, because for the first time twelve instead of eight councilors are responsible for Ingenried's fortunes. This results from the increase in the population to over 1000 inhabitants.

However, the only female new councilor was missing: "Carolin Winkler became a mother two days ago," revealed Saur, "a very understandable apology." She will be sworn in as the ninth new member at one of the next meetings.

Saur confidently leads the first meeting in Ingenried

A genuinely festive setting for the swearing-in was of course not possible in Ingenried in times of the rule of distance, but Saur tried to bring at least a small festive glow to the meeting: flags adorned the walls next to the stage, and there was also a glass of sparkling wine for everyone - served by local secretary Irmgard Friebe and her successor Antonia Rüder.

And then it got serious: Saur had to lead his first session. And he did it pretty confidently. You could tell that he was well prepared. However, he did not want to collect these laurels himself, but thanked his predecessor Xaver Fichtl at the beginning, who “had been very patient with me over the past few weeks. Every time I went out of the town hall my head was completely full and somehow I became more and more insecure with any further information, ”he admitted bluntly.

Ingenrieder municipal councils are sworn in

But Saur wants to put his heart and soul into the task: "The community is more important than the state," he quoted the former Federal President Theodor Heuss. He would like to be guided by this: "No self-interest, no party, no self-interest, the well-being of the people should be in the foreground." And of course he hopes that the new committee will pull together.

After his inaugural address, Saur was visibly proudly sworn in by Martin Brugger, the oldest member of the Ingenried municipal council. And then the freshly baked mayor took his new councilors Johannes Echtler, Andreas Fichtl, Christopher Gabriel, Albert Kees, Thomas Kögel, Siegfried Magg, Meinhard Ryba and Alexander Wagner under oath.

The agenda also included the choice of further positions: newcomer Siegfried Magg, who was sworn in again in this office, was elected as the second mayor with ten out of twelve votes.

Since the meeting had already taken place two days before the constituent meeting, all representatives were elected very quickly. In addition to the two mayors, Thomas Kögel and Andreas Fichtl were elected representatives for the community meeting at the Altenstadt administrative community. Albert Kees takes over the post at the Pfaffenwinkel Tourist Office. Johannes Echtler will be the youth officer and Meinhard Ryba, senior representative for senior citizens.

New supervisory board for the village shop

The two new mayors, as well as Carolin Winkler, Josef Bißle and Martin Brugger and as representative of the citizens Andrea Echtler are now on the supervisory board for Dorfladen-GmbH.

"In the times of Corona, municipal politics will not become easier", Georg Saur fears, but: "We have a great municipality and a solid budget. I look forward to tackling many new projects with you, as far as finances allow. "

The constituent meeting also took place in Burggen, at which the second mayor and committees were elected. In Lechbruck, however, it was decided to reduce the attendance fee. And there is more news from Schongau and the surrounding area.
