The Ministry of Transport announced that the Panamanian maritime authorities included the Syrian maritime certificates "competence and competence" within the list that is recognized by them.
The ministry said in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that the Panamanian recognition allows the Syrian sailors to work on ships flying the Panama flag, which is the most flag carried on ships in the world and the largest number of sailors working under it.
The Ministry indicated that the main work in the success of the tests and the fulfillment of the conditions for reaching this global result is due to the development of the Syrian maritime training and qualification systems after the opening of the Syrian Maritime Academy in September 2018.
