Jerry Stiller is dead: moving farewell to "King of Queens" colleagues

After Jerry Stiller's sad news of his death, his two long-time “King of Queens” colleagues say goodbye with emotional words.

• The actor Jerry Stiller died at the age of 92.
• He became known worldwide through series such as " King of Queens " and  "Seinfeld" .
• His late wife Anne and children Ben and Amy are also famous actors.

Update from May 12, 2020:  The two other leading actors from the successful US sitcom "King of Queens" also said goodbye to Jerry Stiller. "I was lucky enough to work with Jerry Stiller and play his daughter on" The King Of Queens "for nine years, but even happier to know him, the man, the husband, the father, the grandfather," writes Leah Remini on Instagram *. She would be grateful forever "for the memories, the fatherly conversations off the screen and for the long laugh, the kindness that he showed me and my family", said the moving words of Stillers television daughter. The actress also posted numerous photos of the joint "King of Queens"-Time.

I was lucky enough to work with Jerry Stiller, playing his daughter for 9 years on The King Of Queens, but even luckier to know him, the man, the husband, the father, the grandfather. I am only comforted knowing that Anne & Jerry, the great comedy duo of Stiller & Meara are back together. Also Kevin James , who starred in the sitcom Stiller's son, appeared deeply moved by the death of his father-TV. “One of the nicest, loving and funniest people ever to grace this earth. Thank you for so many incredible memories. I love you and miss you, ”he honors the father of Hollywood star Ben Stiller.

Son Ben Stiller , also a famous Hollywood actor, shared the news of his father's death on Twitter: “I am sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, died naturally. He was a great father and grandfather and a good husband to Anne for 62 years. He will be missed very much. I love you dad. "

Jerry Stiller: Wife and children are actors too

Stiller was in front of the camera for over 60 years and starred in numerous films. Most of all, his series roles are remembered. He was part of the permanent cast for both " King of Queens " and  "Seinfeld" and thus shaped the series landscape in the 90s and early 2000s. His son Ben and daughter Amy Stiller followed their father's example and became actors themselves. The mother and wife  Anne Meara , who died in 2015, was also an actress and comedian. The two formed the successful comedy duo Stiller and Meara in the 1960s and 1970s . She was also seen on " King of Queens " - in the role of " Veronica Olchin ". Ben Stiller had a guest appearance in the 100th episode and played the father of "Arthur".

Jerry Stiller was born in New York in 1927. His ancestors were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria. Stiller was nominated for big awards like the Emmy or the Grammy, but never won one.

His colleague and son-in-law in the " King of Queens " series, Kevin James, also got on well with Stiller in private. He visited him in December.
