The German economy is hit hard by the corona pandemic - this is also shown by new figures that the Federal Statistical Office presented on Friday.
Berlin - Economic performance in Germany slumped significantly in the first quarter as a result of the Corona crisis . The gross domestic product shrank by 2.2 percent compared to the previous quarter, as the Federal Statistical Office announced on Friday in Berlin.
Although the spread of the corona virus did not significantly impact economic performance in January and February, it is the sharpest decline since the global financial and economic crisis of 2008/2009.
