The best health care system in the world only looked like it. The health crisis, far from demonstrating our supremacy, cruelly exposed our weaknesses: insufficiently prepared for the risk of an epidemic, we lacked equipment and logistics, while our rigid and complex organization, in which the public sector ignores the private sector, made the health shock even harder to take. Amazed, like the whole country, by this bitter experience, Emmanuel Macron urgently asked for a massive and ambitious investment plan in favor of the hospital. Promised, France will not be overwhelmed a second time…

Part of this effort will go to the nursing staff. Copies under the machine-gun of the Covid-19 in spite of degraded material conditions, counting neither their time nor their pain, our white coats undoubtedly deserve more than our applause every evening on the balcony.
