A few minutes after this measurement, an officer from the Penzberg police inspection tried to stop the Lamborghini at the commuter car park at the Sindelsdorf motorway junction. However, the driver of the sports car ignored the stop sign, so the policeman had to jump aside to get to safety. Finally, a police patrol blocked the main road with a vehicle parked across it. She was able to stop the speedster, against which, according to the police report, "an investigation into a prohibited motor vehicle race " has been initiated.

Harsh consequences for Lamborghini racers: driver's license and car confiscated

The police report also says: "The Lamborghini car was confiscated to preserve evidence and prepare for confiscation - as was the driver's license for the razor." The police did not want to mention the age of the sports car driver in order to protect his identity.

The Penzberg police are now looking for witnesses who saw the green Lamborghini driving on Sunday morning. The car drove south on the B2 - coming from Starnberg - and on the B472 towards Bad Tölz. Witnesses are asked to contact the Penzberg Police Inspectorate on 08856/92570.

Illegal car races in Upper Bavaria: Luxury racing cars racing again and again

Again and again illegal car races with luxury cars take place around Weilheim and Garmisch. A Russian and a Brit were very fast on the B2 between Oberau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen and dared risky overtaking maneuvers. The cars were secured. In September, tourists in super sports cars also had a fast race on the A9. But the planned visit to the Oktoberfest afterwards failed.
