The quantity of wheat marketed to the General Organization for Grain Trade and Industry in Hasaka reached 4,720 tons of wheat from the production of the last agricultural season.
The director of the Syrian Grain Branch, Eng. Obaidah Al-Ali, said in a statement to SANA correspondent that the marketing of wheat continues from the production of last season to the approved centers until the beginning of next month to start marketing the crop of the current season, pointing out that the marketing operations are going well in light of taking all the necessary measures to facilitate the marketing process In front of the peasants.
On the other hand, the Directorate of Hasakeh Agriculture began today granting farmers permission to market the production of their lands planted with wheat, approvals for purchasing packing bags.
The Director of Agriculture, Engineer Ragab Salama, told a SANA reporter that, according to the approval of the Directorate of Agriculture, the Syrian branch of grains in Hasaka will sell the bags to farmers, where each marketed farmer will sell the amount of bags according to the actual area planted with wheat, at a rate of 3 bags per irrigated acre and one and a half bags per Baal acres.
Salama pointed out that the Directorate's approvals are currently granted to farmers in the southern region, especially the Shaddadi and Murkada and their countryside regions, because they are the first areas where wheat harvesting begins at the governorate level, and then they will be granted successively to the rest of the province's farmers during the coming period.
It is noteworthy that the Syrian branch of grains set selling prices of packing bags in the amount of 2000 pounds for the new bag and 1000 pounds for the old, provided that it would be re-paid to the farmers during the exchange of the marketed grain values.
It is noteworthy that the quantity of wheat marketed to the Syrian branch of grains last year amounted to 392 thousand tons in the warehouses of Grims and Livestock in Qamishli.
