Göttingen - A suspect identified in the meantime spat on a 23-year-old from the Werra-Meißner district in Göttingen on Tuesday (May 19, 2020) . The federal police reported.

The 23-year-old had  warned the man in the  Cantus train in Göttingen of the requirement to wear a mask on public transport. However, the older man with a striking hairstyle reacted angrily and threatened to spit on the woman living in the Meißner community in the Werra-Meißner district (Northern Hesse) and to infect it with the Corona virus.

When the train arrived in Göttingen, the man stepped up to the young woman, pulled up his saliva and spat on the travelers, although with a face mask, but from a distance of about 20 centimeters. However, the young woman managed to take a photo with her mobile phone and describe the man very precisely. Disgusted, she finally filed a criminal complaint with the Federal Police in Göttingen .

Since the train in question came from Eschwege  in the Werra-Meißner district, the officers presented the photo to the police in Eschwege - with the request for identification of the "Rotzer". The colleagues of the Hessian state police actually knew the man. So the "unknown" perpetrator quickly became a "well-known" perpetrator to the police. The investigation in this case is ongoing.
