Corona turn: First state wants to end coronavirus restrictions

Sudden change in Corona measures: The first federal state wants to end the measures with Thuringia - the new alarm system should apply from June.

Erfurt - It is a bang for Germany's corona virus strategy . So far, strict protective measures have been in place throughout Germany  - such as the general requirement of distance and wearing hygiene masks * . Even if many are already loosening up a confusion, this has at least been the case nationwide.

But a federal state in the middle of Germany now apparently wants to go its own way - a way that should surprise many because it comes quickly and unexpectedly. The effects on the population as well as on infection protection will be observed with tension in other federal states. 

Coronavirus strategy: Thuringia will break new ground in June

At the end of the measures on June 6, new regulations are to come into force: "From June 6, I would like to lift the general lockdown * and replace it with a package of measures that focus on local authorizations," said Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) on Saturday the newspapers of the Funke media group.
