The National Federation of Truck Drivers driving Hugo and Pablo Moyano demanded from provincial governors and mayors from all over the country "absolute respect for the workers in the activity" and demanded "the cessation of the revision to which they are subjected when entering with its loading unit, which implies delays and the impossibility of bathing, cleaning or feeding, "he denounced.

"It is a last call for attention to the governors and mayors of cities across the country in the face of the mistreatment to which the truck drivers are subjected," Pablo Moyano, deputy secretary, said in a document.

The union leader explained that the drivers transport medicines, food, drinks and other essential products so that precisely "the governors, their family and their friends are not lacking."

"Truckers risk their health, expose that of their family and are treated poorly , in addition to having to endure the illegal handling of the provincial authorities," said the union leader.

Moyano warned that "the workers are close to getting tired of this mistreatment, so there may be a shortage " and clarified that the union, the leaders and the drivers "do not want to cause any harm to the country", but "they are human beings and they sacrifice themselves and they carry out their daily tasks so that nobody lacks anything ".

Moyano denounced that there were several places in which the truckers were delayed more than 10 hours to be checked and maintained that during all this time, they were not allowed to get off the truck to clean or feed themselves.

"The border of the provinces of Salta, Jujuy and San Juan, and the city of Azul, are some of the places where the officials committed a real abuse of authority and did not value the work of the truckers," the leader concluded.

Through an audiovisual communication released to the press, Moyano urged the rulers to "stop fucking around" with the truckers.

Gerardo Morales' apologies

The governor of Jujuy, Gerardo Morales, apologized to the truckers for "the inconveniences and delays" that have been registered in the controls at the entrance to the province and promised to " considerably reduce waiting times ."

Through his Twitter account, Morales replied: "Pablo Moyano: I listened to your complaints. I apologize to all the truckers for the inconvenience and delays in entering Jujuy."

"I am committed to increasing the presence of health and safety personnel to considerably decrease waiting times," he added in the publication, in which he tagged the account of the union leader.

Finally, the governor maintained: "The health control and testing that we carry out on all the truckers who enter Jujuy is essential to take care of them and our people."
