Less than 24 hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trial opens, Education Minister Yoav Galant (Likud) attacked Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit on Saturday, claiming that "it is not too late to stop Mandelblit's moral authority from posing the prosecution side against PM with full disclosure of his talks with Ashkenazi. "

In a tweet in a Twitter account, Galant wrote: "Unsurprisingly, the media's hypocrisy of opening the prime minister's trial is again celebrating. The strong desire to see the prime minister's picture on the defendants' bench overcomes everything. Where was this determination and mobilization only a few days ago about revealing conversations? Mandelblit - Ashkenazi?

"These talks were part of a very serious move against the government and the rule of law. Where are the knights of justice and why are they trying to remove it from the agenda? While the prime minister is doing a field trial in the media and disrupting investigative proceedings, the prosecutor's office and the court refuse to reveal the Mandelblit tapes to the public.

"This story has been hovering like a black cloud for a decade - the time has come for the public to know the truth. It is still too late to stop and examine Mandelblit's moral authority to pose the prosecution side against the prime minister with full disclosure of his talks with Ashkenazi."

Remember, Galant's name was scribbled on the same central document from the Harpaz affair, the same fake document in which they allegedly tried to create Gallant a positive image while disobeying others. However, it is important to note that at no stage did Galant be suspected of being involved in the affair.

Last Thursday, Minister Dodi Amsalem (Likud) also attacked the Attorney General, claiming he was an "alleged offender". Those who did not like the remarks were Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn (blue and white) who came out in defense of the Supreme Court and tweeted in the Twitter account: "I am making it clear: I have full confidence in the Attorney General. Government ministers are allowed to express a serious criticism, but unrestrained attacks are a crossing of the Red Line. ”

Meanwhile, in an interview with News 12, Minister of Internal Security Amir Ohana announced tonight that he will be in court tomorrow and will face Prime Minister Netanyahu. Ohana will join transport minister Miri Regev, who announced earlier this week that she would support the prime minister in the district court.
