Supreme Court of Brazil orders to disclose Bolsonaro video 0:56

(CNN Spanish) - Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said that the video of the April 22 ministerial meeting does not provide evidence of his alleged interference with the Federal Police. Bolsonaro's reaction was known through an agency of the Brazil Agency that quotes his statements when he left the Alvorada Palace this Friday night. Bolsonaro said: "Where is the part of this two-hour video where at least there are indications that it would have interfered with the Federal Police, the Rio de Janeiro superintendency or the general direction of the FP? There is nothing".

Earlier, the Brazilian Supreme Court decided to disclose the meeting of the Council of Ministers on April 22, a piece that is considered key in the investigation that seeks to clarify whether President Jair Bolsonaro tried to interfere politically with the Federal Police and was also in favor of arresting to mayors who decreed measures of social isolation. In the video, President Bolsonaro can be heard talking about a possible intervention in all the ministries and advocating for the “people to arm themselves” and thus avoid the possible arrival of a dictatorship in Brazil.

The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court, Celso de Mello, decided to disclose the entire meeting of the Minister's Council, cutting only the sections that referred to other countries. The Supreme Court opened the investigation to clarify if Sérgio Moro's accusations when leaving the post of Minister of Justice were true, after accusing President Jair Bolsonaro of political interference. Moro mentioned that video in his statements to the Police. According to the former judge, at that meeting it would be demonstrated that the national president threatened to dismiss him if he did not change the director general of the Federal Police.

Bolsonaro defended himself by saying that he had not carried out any improper act and denied interfering politically in the Police investigations. And at night, according to Agencia Brasil, he said: “No minister of mine is responsible for what was said there, because it was a private meeting of ministers, it was not an open meeting. The responsibility is with the minister Celso de Mello ”. The day after the ministerial meeting on April 22, the director general of the Federal Police, Mauricio Valeixo, left his position by his own decision, according to President Jair Bolsonaro. Moro assured that the official had not formally asked for his resignation and had resigned under pressure from the presidency of the Republic.
