Iran issues warning to USA by ships bound for Venezuela 2:22
(CNN) - A first Iranian fuel tanker arrived in Venezuelan territorial waters on Saturday night to "deliver gasoline to the Venezuelan people," state-run VTV Venezuela reported.
The ship, called Fortune, is one of five that are heading from Iran, according to the Venezuelan News Agency. VTV broadcast a map showing Iranian ships called Fortune, Forest, Petunia, Faxon, and Carnation bound for Venezuela.

Venezuela's oil minister Tareck El Aissami wrote on Twitter on Saturday night that Iranian ships were within Venezuela's Exclusive Economic Zone after confirming that the Iranian shipment was arriving. According to VTV, Iranian ships were escorted by ships and naval aircraft of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces. VTV reported that Venezuela "suffers from a lack of gasoline product due to illegal coercive measures imposed by the United States."

CNN reported on May 14 that the United States was considering retaliating against Iran for fuel shipments to Venezuela.
