A 90-year-old man died Sunday afternoon in Saint-Etienne having taken a national road in the opposite direction, causing a collision with several other vehicles, according to the CRS autoroute.
The man drove about "two km on the national road" RN88 in the wrong direction, before causing a collision. He died at the scene of the accident.
According to firefighters, a total of eleven people were involved in the accident, including two injured "in absolute emergency" transferred to the hospital.
